resources on prayer

I was asked to post the prayer resources I mentioned at Connexion on Sunday night. Here they are, with a few extras also:

- Valley of Vision: A collection of Puritan Prayers & Devotions

- Face to Face: Praying the Scriptures for Intimate Worship

- Praying Backwards: Transform Your Prayer Life by Beginning in Jesus' Name

- 1979 Book of Common Prayer, Economy Green Leather

- Praying: Finding Our Way Through Duty to Delight

- Celtic Prayers from Iona (careful with this one. I don't have it, but had one like it and it also contained prayer to the wood spirits and incantations, etc. Check it out before buying!)

'Celtic Daily Prayer: prayers and readings from the Northumbria Community' is pretty good; I have it in the apt.

No wood spirits or 'hey batter batter' incantations to be found within its pages.

Thanks, Dan!

I've also enjoyed using the devotional "31 days of praise." It's a little hokey but really wonderful.

Also, Bridal Intercession by Gary Weins is good. As is "Lord, Teach me to Pray in 28 days" by Kay Arthur, which is an inductive walk through of the Lord's prayer.

Dan, which passages did you put up for the praying-through-scripture times on Sunday? I didn't write them down... (Thanks.)
